About Stuart

Stuart is a Private Wealth Adviser in the North Sydney office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Stuart in his own words

I've been working in the advice industry for over a decade and love many aspects of my role as an adviser, but especially building relationships with my clients. To provide effective and appropriate advice I need to fully understand my clients situation along with their hopes and dreams - I then work alongside them to make relevant decisions. It's hugely rewarding to see the positive impact that advice can have on their lives.

I look after a broad range of clients but predominantly those nearing or transitioning to retirement. I am passionate about educating and reassuring my clients that they are on track, and can achieve their lifestyle goals. Many retired clients can feel uncertain in this phase of life, but having a greater understanding and clarity around their finances does mean they can enjoy life more.

I also dedicate time to raising the profile of the advice industry and mentoring the next generation of advisers in the firm. I want to see my team members grow and thrive in their roles and careers.

Education and experience

Stuart holds the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce, Finance from Macquarie University;
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification, Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA);
• Specialist accreditation in Self Managed Super Funds and Gearing; and
• Member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Outside of work

Stuart enjoys spending time with his young family. He keeps active playing sport and is a keen member of the Macquarie Dragons Football Club.
