About Joshua

Joshua is a Private Wealth Adviser in the North Sydney office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Education and experience

Joshua has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Sydney. He has completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner and is a current member of Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA). In 2022 Josh was recognised in the Financial Standard's Top 50 most influential advisers in Australia.

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in 1998, Joshua worked for several years as an environmental waste management consultant before moving into financial planning in 2001. Joshua takes pride in seeing his clients taking control of their personal finances and assisting them with decisions to help them achieve their personal and financial goals.

Joshua's clients encompass small business owners, young professionals and retirees. He also specialises in working with the not-for-profit sector, where he develops investment strategies and builds close working relationships with the respective board members and trustees.

Joshua is also trained in the practice of collaborative law, where he assists people in negotiating their way around the financial side of family law. He has completed The Stockbrokers Association Professional Diploma in Stockbroking and is an Accredited Securities Adviser.

Outside of work

Joshua and his wife Marina have two children. Away from work, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family.
