About John

John is a Private Wealth Adviser in the North Sydney office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Education and experience

John has worked in personal financial advice since 2008. He is passionate about partnering with clients to achieve what’s most important to them and improve their financial wellbeing. He focuses on simplifying the complex world of finance and investments to build clients’ understanding, comfort and confidence in making decisions that will improve their financial position.

After completing his degree through Charles Sturt University, with Distinction and receipt of four Dean’s Awards, John went on to complete the Certified Financial Planner® program and took out the prestigious Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award for being the highest achieving student in the final unit of the CFP® Certification Program.

John holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance), an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is a Certified Financial Planner® member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Outside of work

John lives in Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his wife and young family. Away from work, he enjoys photography, mountain biking, staying active and playing guitar.
