About Mark

Mark is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Sale office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Mark in his own words

I first became interested in a career in financial planning when I was working as a business banking assistant for the National Australia Bank. I sat in the same office as a NAB financial planner, and enjoyed listening to his conversations with his clients about their financial situation and what particular strategies might work for them. I also remember asking him lots of questions about what he did and what he knew.

Now some 25 years later, I am a trusted adviser to my clients and enjoy the opportunity to assist them in achieving their lifestyle and financial goals. I also enjoy helping new clients with their financial goals and ‘spreading the word’ that good financial advice is very important for virtually everyone.

As an employee of the largest fiduciary-certified firm in Australia, I take an ethical and principle-based approach to serving my clients.

I work with a diverse range of clients, and consider myself a ‘retirement specialist’.

Education and experience

Mark holds the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education (Business) from the University of Melbourne.
• Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University.
• Internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® designation.
• Member of Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA).

Mark has presented at numerous financial planning seminars and has also been a contributor to the financial media.

Away from work, Mark enjoys playing tennis and golf, and is a keen follower of Aussie Rules Football.
