About Ben

Ben is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Mount Gambier office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

He is passionate about developing and maintaining long term relationships with his clients and believes these are achieved by always having an honest and up-front approach. He obtains great satisfaction and enjoyment from helping people achieve their personal financial goals.

Ben in his own words

I was interested in finance at a young age when not long out of school I made my first, albeit unsuccessful, dabble into the sharemarket. This was a valuable lesson about the importance of prudent investment and making educated decisions about money. This experience ultimately set me on a path to seek a career in financial planning.

Having now held my advice licence for over 25 years, I get great satisfaction using my industry expertise knowledge of the investment markets to help my clients achieve what is important to them.

Financial advice can be a complex area with all the products, rules and investment choices, but by working with me my clients can feel comfortable with their financial situation knowing they are in good hands.

As an employee of the largest fiduciary certified firm in Australia, I take an ethical and principle-based approach to serving my clients. I keep abreast of any changes to legislative and regulatory framework changes and have achieved the highest educational industry qualifications.

My client base is diverse, working with people that are building up to retirement and those that have already retired and include farmers, teachers, and other business professionals.  My areas of expertise are retirement income, asset sales and taxation strategies.

Ben holds the following qualifications:

• Diploma of Financial Planning
• Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning
• Member of Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Outside of work

Away from work, Ben is an active member of the local Table Tennis club. His other interests are fishing, running and being involved in the sports of his two boys. He is also a keen supporter of the Adelaide Football Club and a Formula 1 fan.
