About Alistair

Alistair is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Mount Gambier office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Alistair in his own words

I am passionate about developing fulfilling, long term relationships with my clients and their families. I get great enjoyment out of getting to understand what is most important to people, and working with them to ensure that they are able to live their best life.

I take great pride in helping to make what can be a complex and stressful subject as simple as possible. I focus on evidence-based strategies and cashflow modelling solutions, that allow my clients to make informed decisions that give them the ability to achieve their financial goals and have peace of mind.

As an employee of the largest fiduciary certified firm in Australia, I take an ethical and principle-based approach to serving my clients and have achieved the highest educational industry qualifications.

I specialise in working with those in business, especially primary producers as well as people approaching retirement and beyond.

Education and experience

Alistair holds the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia (Accounting and Financial Planning).
• Advanced Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning)
• Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning)
• Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance and Mortgage Broking).
• Internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP.
• Member of Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Before joining Shadforth Financial Group, Alistair worked in management in an ASX 200 listed company. He has been providing financial advice since 2008 and has worked with a broad spectrum of clients, including high net worth individuals.

Outside of work

Away from work, Alistair enjoys spending time with his young family. This often includes spending time in the great outdoors, fishing and cycling.
