About Matt

Matt is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Devonport office.

Education and experience

Matt has worked in banking and financial services since 2012 and joined Shadforth Financial Group in 2015.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Management (Financial Planning and Commercial Law) and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning both from Deakin University. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a member of Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Matt has featured on Tasmanian radio providing commentary on investment markets and related financial matters.

He specialises in working with a range of clients including private clients and not-for-profit organisations and is enthusiastic about ensuring they have a strong financial plan and investment approach in place, to meet their goals and objectives.

His knowledge encompasses superannuation (including SMSFs), investments (both managed funds and listed securities), personal insurances, retirement planning, estate planning, Centrelink and cash flow modelling.

Outside of work

Matt enjoys spending time with his family, remaining fit through long distance running and has an interest in current affairs. He is a long time guitarist and member of the local music community involved in establishing community events across the northwest coast of Tasmania. He is also an avid follower of soccer, including the Devonport Strikers soccer club.
