About Sam

Sam is a Private Wealth Adviser in the North Sydney office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

Education and experience

Sam holds a Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). He is a current member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) and is on his way to completing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® accreditation. Sam also holds an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.

Sam’s dream of helping others to manage their finances and plan for their future started in the luxury automotive industry, where he witnessed far too many people living beyond their means and trying to keep up with the Jones’. Sam realised he was in the wrong industry and that he wanted to dedicate his career to guiding his clients financially and provide strategies for them to reach their life goals. He undertook a career change and returned to university to completed his degree in Financial Planning.  Today he helps families and professionals to understand their cashflow and structure their accounts effectively to grow and protect their wealth.

Sam knows that finances can be a major cause of stress and is a firm believer in the importance of financial wellbeing.  He also has specialist knowledge in cashflow management, personal risk insurance, superannuation, retirement planning and portfolio construction.

Outside of work

In 2016 Sam travelled the world for over a year with his wife, where he feels he only scratched the surface of this wonderful place we call Earth. Sam now lives on Sydney's Northern Beaches with his wife and daughter. Away from work, Sam enjoys sport and continues to travel where possible.
